This past Sunday my team, the New York Jets beat their division and New York State rivals the Buffalo Bills. I was so happy to see the Jets beat the bills after hearing countless Bills fans talk about how great the Bills are and how bad they were going to beat the Jets and be in first place. Not only did the Bills lose, but also now technically if the season were to end today they would be in third in the division, losing a tie brake to the Jets and the Patriots.
The game was an overall pretty exciting game besides the lack of offensive touchdowns. The Jets did what I has mentioned on the last post and shut down Marshawn Lynch. He ran for probably the least amount of yards he has all season and it was big reason because of Chris Jenkins, the nose tackle for the Jets. Chris Jenkins also made some big plays on the quarterback Trent Edwards who had one of his weaker games as a pro.
The player who I believe had the biggest game was the cornerback for the Jets Darrel Revis. It is the second year of his career and this week’s game was his best ever. He had a sack, a fumble recovery, and key interception, which ended the game. But besides he stats he shut down Lee Evans all day, which is not an easy thing to do. Evans is one of the best receivers in the league and if he had gotten more involved in the game the Jets might have lost the game.
Although Brett Favre didn’t have a huge day he did what he had to do to help the Jets win the game. He did throw one interception but it really was not his fault because a bills player hit him as soon as he was about to throw which cause the throw to be short and hang in the air,
