Last year as a freshman I was pretty excited to be going home for the first time for October brake. This year is a differnt story though. It is not lke I am not excited to be going back home for a lil but not many of my friends are going to be home and I dont feel like leaving Cortland right now. This first month went by so fast I cannot beleive that October brake is already actually a week away.
One thing that I do not like about the October brake is that they plan parents weekend to be the next week after which I think is really stupid. Whats the point of having a brake where most of the kids on campus go home and then the week after having all their parents come back up. It makes no sense. October brake should be at the end of october or at leats a few weeks away from parent weekend.

yea i agree that parent weekend should not be the weekend right after break. i mean i didnt go home for break so it doesnt make much of a difference for me but it still seems kind of stupid to plan it like that.
actually its pretty stupid that the break isnt this upcoming weekend like every other suny school. cant hang out with all your buddies who go off to college, plus its my bday and id want to be home for that too
