Lifting

Ever since the beginning of this year I have been going to the weight room in Van Housen consistently at least three times week. On the first work out of the week I do my chest and my triceps. The reason for this is that a lot of chest exercises also use a lot of your triceps also. On the second day of the week I work out my back and my biceps. Then on the third day of the week I work out my legs and my shoulders.
By far my least favorite day of the week is the day that I work out my legs. I do not no why but there is something about it that just makes me dread even going, let alone working hard. It could be the fact that it is by far the most uncomfortable body party to exercise. Not uncomfortable in that my body is in weird positions but it’s just gets my legs so tired and sore it’s annoying to walk.
Another reason that I do not enjoy working out my legs is that even when you get stronger you really have nothing to show for it. People don’t see you after a few months and go “wow have you been working out your legs? They really look a lot bigger”. That just does not happen. I used to not mind working out my legs when I was playing sports in high school because I felt like there was an initiative for what I was doing. I wanted to get my legs as strong as possible so I could compete at the highest possible level. Now I feel like there is no real point for me to do them. I am not playing any competitive sports and in the past that was all I worked them out for.
